​Distinguished American baritone, Anthony Brown is a classically trained singer, international promoter of peace, and citizen of the world.  Known for his deep rich baritone voice and his clear diction, he has performed in concert halls, and fine arts centers around the world.  Lauded for his moving performances of spirituals, Brown takes the listener into the world of the music he is
singing. Music critiques have referred to him as an “interpretative genius.” A versatile and dynamic performer, he sings in a variety of genres including opera, oratorio, Broadway show tunes, art songs and folk tunes. His performances have been enthusiastically received by audiences of all ages in national and international settings. As a lover of folk songs he has taken American songs around the world. He often sings the folk songs of the people in the various countries where he performs and invites the audience to sing with him on some selections.  Most recently he has collaborated with legendary folk singer Pete Seeger, who appears with him via video, in the multi-media musical documentary, I Go On Singing. His work as peacemaker as taken him to political hot spots in Africa, Asia, Europe, South America and across North America. He was specifically sought out to assist in reducing tensions in Northern Ireland, Bosnia and Northern Uganda. In each venue he stresses the oneness of the human family.
 Perhaps no vocalist of our time has so effectively combined singing with ambassadorial peace building. Through his music, he inspires audiences around the world to join the movement for peace, justice and reconciliation.

Incorporating themes of suffering, transcendence, and human resilience, this uplifting concert of African American Spirituals is presented with a printed program that provides historical background of each song. Both educational and inspirational, selections include classics such as "Wade in the Water", "Sweet Low Sweet Chariot", "Deep River", "Steal Away" and many others. Deepening the emotional connection to the music, the audience is invited to join Mr. Brown in the singing of several songs.

​This rousing multi-media musical documentary reveals the artistic, political and intellectual achievements of the American patriot Paul Robeson. Accompanied by a pianist, narrator, and archival video, Mr. Brown presents Robeson as a towering figure in American history. A champion for peace and human rights for much of the 20th century. Musical numbers range from spirituals to Broadway and include "Ol' Man River", "Shortin Bread", "All Through the Night", and "Volga Boat Man" Robeson's musical colleague, the ledgenary folk singer Pete Seeger, makes three video apperances, discussing his friendship with Robenson and the music they shared.

Using songs and stories from his international travels, Mr. Brown illustrates how music is a powerful tool for bringing people together. Emphasizing the oneness of the human family, he encourages us to be promoters of peace and justice wherever we live. The emotional riveting show engages the audience and invites them to sing on several selections.
